The Iman Al-Shingieti Scholarship Program

The late Iman Al-Shingieti was known for her activism and her dedication for advancing the rights of Muslim women. It was her vision that the Ikram Foundation would be a source of support for divorced and widowed Muslim women as they recreate their lives and increase their earning potential. 

 

Iman was in her 60’s when she graduated from George Mason University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, she laid  the foundation for our work and we are honored to uphold her legacy through this scholarship. 

Iman was one of the founders and the first executive director of Ikram Foundation and the Iman Al-Shingiethi Scholarship is a reminder of our organization’s roots and what we strive to accomplish.
